Only 4 visits for 1 month of effort was quite discouraging. But somehow I said to myself, let me give it a try for a few months and see if what other bloggers are saying about Pinterest is true.

Also, I am not spending any money on advertising. It’s just free traffic from social media.
You can also notice that the average time of a session on Pinterest is more than any other social media.

The Benefits Of Manual Pinning For New Bloggers
There are two main benefits of adding your pins manually.
The first is that you won’t need to spend any extra money once you have paid for your domain and hosting. I completely understand how difficult it can be to add additional expenses when you do not earn money with your new blog.
The second reason is that Pinterest will give your pins more exposure when you pin manually.
Pinterest loves when people spend time on the platform. The more time you spend on the platform, the more it will reward you.
This is what I had noticed when I started to add all my pins manually. The number of impressions and clicks increased significantly.
Once your pins start to get traction, you can use a scheduling tool like Tailwind.
This is because both a scheduling tool and manual pinning will bring the maximum traffic to your new blog.

Setting Up Your Manual Pinning Strategy.
Before getting started with your manual pinning schedule, it will advise you to create at least 10 boards relevant to your niche.
These boards must be optimized so that your profile can attract more targeted traffic.
If you don’t know how to optimize your Pinterest boards, find keywords, and optimize your pins, I have a complete guide to help you with that.
Once you have created all your boards, you will need to have a system to add your pins manually.
Pinterest Manual Pinning Strategy
Step 1- Creating Quality Pins
Create 2 to 3 pins for all your blog posts. Having different styles and color combinations for your pins will ensure that you attract a wide range of people.
This is because people react differently to different pictures and colors.
If you love pink color, then the second pin will grab your attention. If you love simplicity, then maybe the first or third pin. And if you like vivid colors and you need an answer urgently, then the last pin will grab your attention.
You can clearly understand that having different styles and color combinations of pins will attract a wide range of people to interact with your Pins.
So, every time you create a new blog post, add the pin directly from your website using a Pinterest browser extension or from your Pinterest account.
Pro Tip: Share your pins to your most robust and most relevant boards the first time. This will allow you to get more clicks. Repeat this process for all your new blog posts.
Step 2 – Creating folders.
Now it’s time to create new folders for all your blog posts and add their respective pins.
As you can notice, I have 24 blog posts in which I have included numbers for easy navigation.
Once completed, you will have to create folders for all your boards.
Step 3 – Adding pins to your folders.
Now copy all the relevant blog posts folders to each board folder.
I have a board which is named “Save and earn money.” I will add only blog posts that are relevant to that specific board.
Step 4 – Adding your pins manually.
Now it’s time to add your pins to your relevant boards.
Depending on the number of boards you have, you must add at least one pin to each board every day.
If you have 10 boards, it means that you will add 10 pins daily. But you must do it in such a way that you don’t add the same URL (Same blog post) the same day.
For example:
On a particular day, you will add your first 10 blog posts to each relevant board.
Once you have added the pins, you will go to each board folder and delete the pin you have just uploaded. This is to make sure you don’t add the same pin to the board again.
On the next day, you will add your next 10 blog posts to all the relevant boards.
Repeat the process until you have added all your blog posts and start again.
This process will make sure:
- You are adding all your blog posts to your boards.
- You are not adding the same URL on the same day.
- You won’t add the same pin to the board again.
- You are adding pins to all your boards daily, which will keep them active and increase your chance of getting more clicks.
You see, it was not that difficult at all. The process of creating folders and adding all your blog posts will take some time.
But once completed, it will take you only around 10 mins per day to add your pins. I am sure 10 mins per day is not a lot for the amount of traffic you will get from Pinterest.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure to repin from your group boards. This will help both the bloggers and you as the board will be more active.
- Add new pins from other bloggers to your boards. Especially pins that are performing well. This will help you to get a boost for your new Pinterest profile.
- Every week make sure you are adding a new pin directly from your website with updated pin descriptions.
- Keep creating new pins for your blog post and see which ones are working better.
- Every 1 or 2 months, create a new board.
- It will take you around 2-3 months to get significant traffic from your Pinterest, depending on the quality and amount of pins you have.
- If there are pins that are not performing well, do not delete them from your profile. You might never know when your old pins can become viral.
Pro tip: Using a combination of manual pinning and Tailwind will guarantee that you get maximum clicks on your Pins.
If you are not using Tailwind, do give it a try and see how it performs for your profile. Trust me, you will see a massive difference.
The awesome thing about Tailwind is that you will get your first 100 pin schedule for free. And you don’t have to provide any credit card information.
You just have to connect your tailwind account with Pinterest.
Simple as that.
